Well, a little late I realize, but we still had a great time. Grandma fixed Easter dinner, after which, we had our traditional Easter hunt. Grandma and Grandpa made baskets for each of the grandkids. After they scoured the house (yes it was indoors because it was a nasty rainy day.. surprise, surprise) and each grandchild found his/her basket, they then went on a hunt for candy and other fun things. Then of course the real fun began. Each adult brought 3 eggs with prizes. The prizes were to be under $5 or a combined total of no more than $15 dollars. We let the grandkids hide the eggs with the understanding they would "remember" where they put them. Then the adults were let loose. Funny thing is that it took a little bit of time to find the last couple of eggs. But after opening the eggs it was determined that Kelly had actually found a plastic egg from last year and I think a piece of candy also. This is not saying anything about Grandma Thomas' cleaning skills as everyone knows she always has an immaculate house, but it is saying something about how clever our little hiders are. We all had some great laughs and enjoyed each others company. Blain was missed, as he was at college but will be returning home soon to prepare for his mission.
